Adding and editing a book

From Books, click "+ Add a book" (or open an existing one to edit it). A book needs at minimum a title and a category (Fiction, Non-Fiction, or Children's) — everything else can be filled in later. Fields worth knowing about: Series label groups books together on your page if you write in a series. Tagline is the short line shown on your book's card; Blurb is the fuller description on its own page. Praise holds review quotes/pull-quotes. Cover is a straightforward image upload. Retailer links (Amazon, with an optional ASIN for geo-redirects, plus Apple, Kobo, Google, Barnes & Noble, and Audible with its own ASIN) are all optional — add whichever apply to that book. If you tick "Featured" and write a press release for the book, it becomes a downloadable, letterheaded PDF on your Press Kit automatically. Status controls visibility: Draft is hidden from your public page, Published is live, Coming Soon shows the book with a "not yet available" treatment. Sort order controls the order books appear in on your page — lower numbers first. Your book's URL slug is generated from its title the first time you save it and then stays fixed, so renaming a book later never breaks a link you've already shared.
